To obtain permanent residency in Cyprus, the applicant must invest a minimum of €300,000 in one of the following investment categories:
1: New Residential Property: The applicant can purchase up to two (2) residential units (apartments or houses), provided that the total market value is €300,000 + VAT – new construction/first time sales only.
The funds must be transferred to Cyprus from abroad and deposited into the real estate seller’s bank account.
The property purchase can be made by a legal entity in which the applicant and/or their spouse are the sole shareholders.
2: Commercial real estate, new or resale. Qualifying properties include offices, shops, hotels or similar properties, or a combination thereof with a minimum total value of €300,000.
3: A Cypriot company employing at least five people in Cyprus. Proof of physical presence and business activity of the company on the island must be provided.
4 Units of a Cypriot Collective Investment Organization (such as AIF, AIFLNP, RAIF).
Note: Property must be held permanent to maintain residency status. However, an investor can replace the property with another of equal or greater value. The new property must fully meet the program’s conditions.
